Remember when you were rapidly approaching your high school graduation and your major for college was still undecided. (Okay I never had this problem, but I am slowly becoming aware of the problem this presented to many of my friends). Well, picking a job for nursing is the same thing as picking a major for college. There are countless opportunities out there in the nursing world and I am overwhelmed at thought of my indecisiveness. I mean don't get me wrong I have somewhat of an idea as to what I want to do, however, I have no idea where to go to do those things. Yesterday, I had a shadowing experience with a nurse on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children's Hospital. It was spectacular. Before, when it seemed as though I could never work with such sick babies, now I can really see myself working there. I am so sure that I am already lining up recommendation letters and references galore!!
Pray for me as I start filling out applications and really get into my job search!!! I need wisdom and strength to get through this, and on the flip side, they need wisdom to see that I am clearly the correct choice! :o)
In other news I have really exciting news! (Redundant?) I bought my very first motorcycle!!!!
It is a 2005 Kawasaki Z750S. His name is Asa Jet Lopez and he is really cool.

My dad had to drive him home, because I am chicken and it wasn't insured yet. Dad is a much more experienced rider than me. We stopped at McDonald's on the way home, so my father wouldn't go into a diabetic coma. Which is why we are in a strange parking lot and my dad has his gear on.
This is me on Asa (my escort, Greg is in the background! Gotta represent the car):

I am so excited! I am working on getting Asa insured, however, I have an accident in my history and they claim it was an "at-fault" accident, so tomorrow I have to go to the BMV to clear my name since the only way I could have avoided the accident was to 1. disappear off the face of the earth or 2. Levitate (sp?) and since both of those options are impossiblities, I think that this accident was crazy ladies fault!!!
Just for fun, here is a silly pic of me and Asa (and Greg) making a funny pose:

Well that is all for now. God Bless!
We'll be praying for your job search, Kari. Love the bike!
